Some Uses Of Sand Bags For Canopies

The use of sand bags with canopies has been around for a long time. It is basically sand filled bags that are made mostly from hessian or plastic. Others are made from cotton duck or burlap which is woven cloth that is made from hemp, jute or flax fiber.

Sand bags are a cheap way to keep the canopy sturdy and easy to handle, therefore they can have a myriad of applications ranging from home building to environmental conservation. Sand filled bags can be used to do whatever structural duty if someone can get creative.

These canopy sand bags can also be used for flood control and are probably what most people associate with sand filled bags. In areas that are prone to floods, sandbags are stacked in an area to influence direction of flowing water. Sand bag orders ship within 1 to 2 business working days. This means, the order leaves our warehouse within 1 to 2 business after the order was placed. All ground orders usually take the following amount of time after they have been shipped:

West Coast = approx. 1 to 2 business working days
Mid West = approx. 3 to 4 business working days
East Coast = approx. 4 to 5 business working days

Ground shipments can take up to 7 to 15 business working days to arrive but this is highly unlikely.
