For Securing Canopy Tops Some Uses for Ball Bungees
Ball Bungees are a reliable and popular way of securing tarps, nets and other things which need securing. They have many uses and are readily available from most hardware stores.
The bungee works by having a ball attached to a loop of bungee in such a way that, when a certain release is pressed, the ball can slide along the two ends of the loop. This tightens the cord to the desired amount, securing a strong grip. The release can be pressed once again to slide the ball back, loosening the loop. If the press on the ball is in its natural position, it won't be able to slide along the bungee.
The ball makes this type of cord better for gripping one end, and safer, than hook bungees. Hook bungees are susceptible to slippage and are dangerous as such. The hooks provide a hazard when not used carefully. There is no such danger with the ball bungee. The benefit is that, should it happen, a child gets his hands on a ball bungee, there is less immediate danger than there could be. Caution should still be taken however, and children should not use them.
Ball bungees are ideal for holding corners of canopies, nets, and other such coverings. They provide localized and extremely secure grips, holding whatever needs be held. Multiple bungees can bundle items together and keep them still and can connect opportune grommets. There are few limits to the use of the ball bungee in this respect.
Ball bungees are extremely useful, and for the most part are safe alternatives to hook bungees. They costs about the same amount and are available from the same venues. Ground shipments can take up to 7 to 15 business working days to arrive but this is highly unlikely.
